Brunnera ‘Sea Heart’ PP (Brunnera macrophylla)
Beautiful heart-shaped leaves are silver with deep green veining. ‘Sea Heart’ has a short, mounded growth habit that reaches 6-12” tall but can spread to 1-2’ wide. In spring, sprays of blue flowers arise on slender stems and accent the bi-colored foliage. Unlike some of the other Brunnera, ‘Sea Heart’ maintains its leaf variegation even in the heat of summer. It grows best in partial sun, but also performs well in shady locations in rich, but well-drained soil. This hardy perennial requires little maintenance but adds beauty and charm to the garden.
