‘New Love’ is a compact, bushy clematis that needs no trellis or staking since it only grows 2-3’ tall. Prolific clusters of bluish-purple, star-shaped flowers appear on new wood from summer through early fall and attract bees and butterflies to the garden. Fluffy seed heads appear after the blooms have passed. Prune in late spring to 4” above the ground. Clematis ‘New Love’ can be grown in the landscape border or in a container. Hardy to zone 5.
