Fully double, purple flowers have ruffled petal edges and create a magnificent flowering specimen when in full bloom. When grown inside, or in shady locations, the flowers open in black tones as shown in the inset photo. They fade to purple as they age. ‘Purple Immortality’ blooms from spring until fall when weather conditions are warm and sunny. This is a ready-to-bloom, two-year-old specimen with a thickened caudex.
