This evergreen shrub or small tree puts on a spectacular show of fuzzy white flowers followed by oblong fruit that ripen in winter. The greenish-yellow rind is a protective covering for its delicious, pink, sweet, fruity flesh inside. The taste is a combination of passion fruit, strawberry and pear. ‘Tropical Pink’ will become a small tree reaching 15-20’ tall if planted in the ground, but when grown in a large pot, it can be maintained and fruited at 4-6’ tall.
