Originally hybridized in Europe for florist- quality flowers, Cityline® Mars has large 6” bicolor blooms that can be deep pink and white or blue and white or a combination of these colors depending on the pH of your soil. If your soil has a neutral or alkaline pH, then you’ll get more pink and white flowers unless you add pH lowering additives like aluminum sulfate. This compact plant only grows 24-36” tall so it makes a beautiful flowering specimen for the front of a garden bed or walkway. It blooms on old wood so it will take one year after planting to bloom. The dramatic flowers can be cut for long-lasting floral arrangements or dried to create sensational crafts.
