Lingonberry Set ‘Magenta’ and ‘Red Sunset’ PP

Lingonberry Set ‘Magenta’ and ‘Red Sunset’ PP

In the same family as blueberries and cranberries, Lingonberry is a much-loved fruit in the Scandinavian countries where it is often served as a condiment with meats or used in jams, pies or juices for its healthful benefits. It’s classified as a “super fruit” containing flavonoids, lignans, vitamins and benzoic acid, a natural preservative and mold inhibitor. The highly flavorful fruit is not as tart as cranberries and it has two fruiting seasons each year: one in July/August and another in September/October. Lingonberry creates a hardy, beautiful ground cover with edible fruit. We are selling a Set of 2 plants, ‘Magenta’ and ‘Red Sunset’ for optimum pollination since this ensures the largest fruits. These hardy fruiting plants are able to withstand cold temperatures to zone 3.
