Blooming from mid-June through October, Sinningia ‘Towering Inferno’ has bright red, tubular flowers that are hummingbird favorites. The fuzzy green leaves emerge from a dormant tuber in early spring, and ‘Towering Inferno’ can be grown as a landscape plant in zones 8 and higher or a container plant in northern zones. It needs at least a half day of full sun for best growth. Deadhead old flowers to prolong the blooming season.
