Tropical Clematis (Clematis smilacifolia)

This Tropical Clematis has an unusually sweet fragrance and the added benefit of being a fall bloomer. Clusters of dark curled purple sepals cradle the upright pure white petals. It's a rapid grower in summertime and when the day length shortens, blooms appear. For us it flowers in November. Grow in full sun and train on a stake or trellis. This woody vine is perfect for your summer garden as a living screen or grow inside and delight in the flowers during the cooler months of fall.
