Venus Slipper Orchid (Paphiopedilum Maudiae hybrid)

Venus Slipper Orchid (Paphiopedilum Maudiae hybrid)

Venus Slipper Orchid blooms in late winter or spring and has a single flower that’s white with purple and green markings and a purple pouch. It has distinctive black spotting on the lower petals. The Venus Slipper Orchid flower lasts about 8 weeks. Pointed, green, mottled leaves only grow 6-9” tall, so it makes an ideal windowsill specimen for a north or east window. Grow in well-drained potting bark and perlite and make sure the plant doesn’t sit in a saucer of water. The mother plant sends out baby plants at the base. These young plants will flower the following year. We ship a blooming size plant not necessarily in spike.
